Illness perception in patients with D.M. type II in Cambodia

This research is a qualitative study of illness perception in patients registered in a clinic in a rural area in Cambodia (Cambodia-Dutch Organization). All patients in the clinic with Diabetes Mellitus Type II will be selected for this study.
After randomization selection will take place and informed consent is requested. When no consent for the study is given selection and randomization will be repeated.
This leads to admittance of 10 patients to this study. After final inclusion glucose value is taken over, the survey by socioeconomic status with Kuppuswamy's Socioeconomic Scale and semi-structured interviews will be conducted on illness perception.
